What is the 12-feet SD365 Saturn Inflatable Boat Designed for?

It is a large recreational inflatable boat designed to enjoy the water with a family and friends. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people, but is able to carry up to 5 adults. Despite being large and loaded, this inflatable boat is very easy to paddle: it just glides across the water. But if you install a 30 HP outboard motor, your boat will fly over the water with the speed more than 20 mph.

The Saturn inflatable boat SD365 is our one more bestseller and great for:

  • transporting you, your tent and your dog to a campsite in a natural park
  • fishing, for fly fishing especially, because it is super stable and you can stand on the high-pressure air floor just the same way you would stand on a plywood floor
  • barbequing on a remote beach
  • romantic escape on an insulated island
  • nature lovers to spend their summer vacations in the Canadian wilderness
  • any imaginable solo boating adventure

The SD365 Saturn model is also great as a tender for yachts or can be used as a lifesaving raft in case of an emergency. It is a large boat, but still can be easily carried with a wheel dolly.

Advantages of the 12' SD365 Saturn Inflatable Boat

  • When the boat properly inflated, its tubes are rock-solid because it is made of the1100 Korean denier reinforced PVC fabric - the latest heavy-duty innovative material that provides the inflatable boat with more resistance to tearing, tension and breaking.
  • All the tubes have double layers of fabric at the bottom and the keel has a rub-strake protector – an excellent extra protection from sharp rocks and abrasive sand.
  • The high-pressure drop stitch air deck floor is extremely rigid once properly inflated. This type of air floors makes inflatable boats much lighter, much easier to assemble and disassemble and more compact when deflated.
  • The safety valve prevents excessive air pressure in the boat chambers.
  • This inflatable boat is easy to assemble and disassemble, to inflate and deflate. To inflate the boat, simply unroll it and pump in air with the included hand pump or optional electric air inflator. To deflate the boat, you have to open all air valves and start rolling the boat from the transom, or quickly suck all air out with an electric pump. Click to see how to deflate and fold your inflatable boat.
  • Deflated and folded, the boat can be easily carried around with an inexpensive foldable hand cart. And when inflated, the boat can be easily transported with help of our removable dinghy wheels that are attached to the transom.
  • The 12' SD365 Saturn inflatable boat can take up to a 30 HP short shaft motor. Or it can be easily turned into a sailboat by using our portable sail kit.
  • A canopy top to protect from the summer sun or rain could be easily installed; and a foldable lightweight swimming ladder is also a good idea.
New air valves improve 12' SD365 Saturn inflatable boats durability and practicality:

Air valves have been moved toward the inside of boat's tubes and away from direct exposure to the weather elements. This allows easier inflation from inside the boat and minimizes damage caused by sun and rain while the boat is stored uncovered for prolonged periods of time. Rain water does not accumulate inside the valves.

Places to go with your SD365 Saturn Inflatable Boat - Bon Echo Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada

Bon Echo Provincial Park features several lakes, including part of Mazinaw Lake, the second-deepest lake in Ontario besides the Great Lakes - averages depth 41m (135ft) and maximum depth 145m (476ft). Mazinaw Lake features the massive cliff rising out of the water - 100m (330ft) high Mazinaw Rock, adorned with over 260 Aboriginal pictographs. (Pictographs are often confused with petroglyphs, which are rock carvings rather than the rock paintings found on Mazinaw.)

Boating: Power boats are allowed on Mazinaw Lake but are prohibited on all other lakes in the park.

Paddling: There are a few canoe routes in the park, ranging from easy day trips to the 104km (5 days) Mississippi River Canoe Route with 17 portages.

I bought this boat over 10 years ago. I treat it rough and drag it over rocks and sticks and anything in the way. I finally had to do my first patch job on it this summer which is amazing considering the abuse I put it through. Use it about 40 times a year in northern BC.
Great boat Mike. With one person onboard, it will actually plane with a 5HP motor and
travel over smooth water at 21 kph (who would have thought that....)

This new order of seat cushion and seating platform will "refine" the boat for fishing and a bit more comfort (man, those aluminum seats are HARD)
The 12foot Saturn SD365 Inflatable Boat has been awesome for fishing on the Bow River!! I installed 2 folding padded seats on swivel brackets and added a 1 inch square aluminum tubing bar between the front and rear bench to keep the benches from twisting off the canvass holding mounts. Works like a charm. The boat has been reliable, comfortable and easy to set up...very impressed with the quality, value and functionality...I would recommend this boat to anyone wanting to have a solid standing platform for fishing the Bow River.
Regarding the 12 feet boat, it runs great with the 9.9 hp outboard and the Maxi Marine planing system. It planes at half the throttle. Its amazingly stable and smooth on the water even on wavy Ontario lake. I cruised at 15-16.xx mph with two light persons and all fishing gears on calm water.

I actually got this as a second boat to go on my yacht, and was extremely surprised at how affordably I found my solution... I have been trying to buy a jet ski or a small boat for my big boat, and this one definitely worked for me.
I bought 12' SD365 boat for my fishing trip to use with trolling motor. I used it for 3 days to fish and go around the islands, up North. I was sceptic about the boat quality, but when blew up and saw it I was very surprised with boat quality – durable PVC material, very well construction and nice features. Enough space for 4 people plus gear. We enjoyed our new boat a lot.
Thank you Michael for you help!
I bought this boat used. It had seen very rough usage and was filthy. But I scrubbed it clean, and it was almost like new again. I was really impressed with the quality of materials and design. I took it out on lake ontario with my young son, and a 4hp yamaha. It was a real pleasure on the water...handled big waves like they were nothing. I've had several other inflatables, and this was by far the best I've seen. I won't hesitate to recommend. Great boat!
